Network Design Service and Pre-sales support

SmartOptics offers a complete complimentary optical transmission design service as part of our commitment to excellent service and support. We provide a full bill of materials for our customer’s unique requirements and work closely to ensure all interoperability, wavelength management, power budget and fiber dispersion calculations are handled correctly in the design process.

A Bill of Materials (BOM) is generated in a standard format along with a recommendation for spare part holding. For storage networks, in particular when Fiber Channel or FICON protocols are being used, SmartOptics provides Buffer to Buffer (BB) credit allocation rules to ensure that full network capacity is achieved.
